Our Team
The Mountain Girls, Nancy and Jane, are cousins who consider ourselves “sisters from different misters” as our moms were identical twins. Our moms, Ella and Eloise, grew up on a small farm in northern Minnesota during the depression and spent much of their time tromping through the woods and playing in the snow. This perhaps passed on to us as we too love to tromp in the woods and play in the snow. Retirements brought us together full time to start our flower business in 2022 to provide fresh cut flowers with no chemicals or pesticides for our local community. We are growing over 30 varieties of flowers and bouquet fillers on our properties in Red Lodge, MT. We sell our flowers direct to customers, to local florists, at the Red Lodge Farmer’s Market, and via CSA subscriptions.
Nancy Minion
Nancy grew up visiting and skiing in Red Lodge with Jane’s family and moved full time to Red Lodge in 1979. She worked her way north down Broadway, owning and operating successful businesses at the Boxcar and Bogarts. Nancy and her husband, Jim, were the dynamic duo at the Bull n Bear bar and restaurant for almost 30 years. In retirement she is keeping the B theme going with selling Blooms. She really enjoys visiting with her former customers at the Red Lodge Farmers Market.
Jane Kleinman
Jane visited Red Lodge for the first time when she was 2 months old and learned to ski on Red Lodge Mountain and ski race at the race camp on the Beartooth Pass. After years of visits to the family vacation home she found herself scheming ways to live in Red Lodge full time. When Jane retired in 2022 after 35 years of teaching and coaching (alpine skiing & golf) high school in a Minneapolis suburb, she packed up her belongings and came home.
